The theme for week 7 was “the eyes have it” to be interpreted anyway you like. Here is a macro shot of my little girl’s eye. They’ve been pretty blue since birth and are now starting to turn a greenish-blue color. Interesting how the background colors match her eyes…I wish I could say that was intentional, but it was pure accident.

Our Project 52 group is a little bit behind so I’m just getting to posting week 6 now. The theme, in honor of Valentine’s Day, was love. I tried to come up with ideas but my head kept going back to my twin newborn session. I could not think of a better photo to exemplify love than the one below. You saw the close-up in color of this one in the original twin post, so here I decided to show the full shot in black and white.

Today I had my first twin newborn session. I’ve been anticipating this session for quite some time, thinking of all the adorable poses I could get with two little ones together. I was also so nervous about handling two at once. But I had a few things working in my favor today:
#1 – my fabulous volunteer assistant, Andrea, who really seemed to be a natural at this. I may have to think about bringing her along to all my sessions!
#2 – the two sweetest little twin baby girls, who cooperated so well that I think they may have tricked me into thinking that twin newborns are a piece of cake to photograph.
And really, all the adorable shots I’ve been thinking up in my head came true today. See for yourself…
