My fantastic family vacation has put me behind in Project 52, so I find myself playing catch-up once again. I’m traveling again this weekend, so we’ll see what I can accomplish before then.

The theme for week 20 was “motherhood.” This can be interpreted in so many ways, but what better to express motherhood than a mother-to-be looking at her growing baby bump and dreaming of what motherhood will hold for her (Hint: In your wildest dreams, you will never imagine how wonderfully amazing it actually is.).

Congratulations to last week’s winner, Jen DeLong, who correctly guessed the maple seed pod Macro Monday photo! Good luck with this week’s entry, everyone!

Here are the rules:

This will be a contest that lasts until the end of the year. I’ll post a macro (close-up) photo each Monday and the first person to guess what it the object is “wins” for that week. Some weeks may be super easy, and others may  be really hard. There are no weekly prizes, but at the end of the year I’ll collect all the weekly winner names and randomly select the 2012 Macro Monday winner from that pool. The winner will receive a photo session with me to be used in 2013. The beauty of this contest is that you choose how often you play. You can also be a weekly winner multiple times (as long as you are the first correct guess) for more chances to win. Only comments made on the blog post will count. Facebook comments will not count, but feel free to spread the word about the contest posts via Facebook. I hope you enjoy playing along!

The theme for week 19 was “weather”. This one is  kind of a stretch for weather, but it is a direct effect of the warm, windy weather we had last week. Our large maple tree has been shedding these maple seed pods and they are blanketing our yard. When I was a kid we used to open these up and stick them on the bridges of our nose. I knew them as helicopters, from the way they twirled in the air as they feel from the trees. But I’m learning that there are other nicknames for these fun little seed pods. Feel free to leave a comment and tell us what you called them as a kid…or adult. And really…isn’t nature just so beautiful?!

Congratulations to last week’s winner, Michele, who correctly guessed that the Macro Monday photo was a tree bark! Good luck with this week’s entry, everyone!

This past week has been an unusually busy one and I just realized that I forgot to post last week’s Project 52 photo. So without further ado, here is the photo for last week’s theme – “happy”. You guessed it…this is my little guy. A child can capture the essence of happiness like no other…and this child is no exception!
