Here is another share from a session this past fall. We lucked out with the most perfect warm fall day for their session. With some of the leaves just starting to turn color and others still a deep deep green, the backdrop for their photos was just so colorful. And this family was so sweet and entertaining (the little guy shared some funny jokes with me and kept me laughing throughout the session). And they were pretty easy on the eyes too, huh?

Remember this little cutie? Well she had a first birthday recently and we headed into Central Park one beautiful Sunday afternoon to celebrate her milestone on film. She was a little shy with the camera at first, but as soon as she got a nice big grassy area all to herself to run around in….watch out! This little girl performed with big smiles, claps and dancing! So, so very cute! Love the S family and loved spending the afternoon with them.

I am so excited to share the sneak peek of this family. Mom and I have been trying to schedule this session for over a year now and we had to keep pushing it back again and again for various reasons. But I’m so thrilled that we stuck with it because it’s families like this – relaxed, fun and head-over-heels for one another - that make me love what I do. And it doesn’t hurt that the kids are ridiculously adorable and oozing happiness!

M family, that you for sharing your (early) Sunday with me. I loved spending the morning laughing with you!

We all know how hard it is to get two little ones out the door early in the morning and keep them neat and clean for a photo session. Please leave a comment below for this mom and dad and let them know how great they did!

This week’s theme was a technical one – shallow depth of field. Shooting with a shallow depth of field gives you that blurry background effect. There’s a bit more too it than my simplistic explanation, so if you’d like to read more check out what wikipedia has to say here.

Here is my little Max having his morning downward dog stretch, and daddy and little baby girl just hanging out in bed.

As always, if this inspires you to participate, please feel free to post a link to your photos on the Half-Pint Photography Facebook page.
